Gridiron Experts giving us an article worthy of their name on Tampa Bay RB Bobby Rainey

FANTASY VALUE: BOBBY RAINEY

BY: Jody Smith

11/18/13

RATING: 4 – 4.5 / 5

KEEP it.

Jody is informative as can be on Rainey as he tries to get you excited at the prospect of picking him up for the playoff push.  What’s also nice is that he’s pragmatic about your chances of snagging him, as he’s like the hot chick someone brought back from college to a townie party — everyone will be gunning for him.

So read up on Rainey, but unless you have a high waiver spot or a bunch of Tacos in your league, chances are he won’t be yours.

RECAP Start / Sit Week 9: How’d the Experts fare?

Capt’n Hindsight, here.

Here’s the chance to dissect the predictions and advice from Week 9. Earlier in the week, we gave you the list of Start/Sit articles in Linkage. Now we get to go back and see who was on point and who missed the boat.

Surprisingly, Tom Brady made it into quite of few articles. Hopefully, you ignored their advice (Not you, FantasyKnuckleheads. Well done.).

Here is a quick review from a couple Week 9 Start – Sit Articles:

FantasyKnuckleheads             Review Rating:  4/5

Highlights:  Start -Tom Brady, Zac Stacy, Keenan Allen

Lowlights:  Start – Terrelle Pryor, Sit – Riley Cooper

Kurt Turner put together a solid performance this week. He made several great calls, including the under-the-radar Stacy. If he hadn’t specifically called for fantasy goers to bench Riley Cooper, he would have been nearly flawless.

Locker Room Fantasy Sports       Review Rating:  2.5/5

Highlights:   Start – Keenan Allen, Sit – Steven Jackson

Lowlights:  Sit – Ben Roethlisberger, Sit – Mike James, Start – Terrelle Pryor

Better luck next week. Sunday was not kind to Jon Collins based on his advice. Mike James broke onto the scene on the road in Seattle. Big Ben tore up a cripple defensive backfield in New England. On the flip side, he wisely cautioned readers to avoid ol’ man Steven Jackson this week in his return from injury.

RotoWorld: Waking up some sleepers

Week 8 Sleepers

By Nick Mensio (RotoWorld) – Rating: 4/5 KEEP IT

Mensio’s Sleepers article recognizes week 8 for what it really is… a dog shit week for fantasy football.  He also gets points for putting “expert” in quotation marks in his article but that is really beside the point.  Instead of going the easy route, as many fantasy football writers do, by listing players like Mike James and Jarrett Boykitt (I’m looking at you Matt Delima of FFToolbox), Mensio actually goes deep enough to try to help identify players that may be available in his readers’ leagues.  Go figure!  If you are scrambling for a player to pick up now that Wednesday’s waiver deadline has passed, check out this article and see if you can keep you team in contention at least through this weekend.
